Buitenplaats Welgelegen

Buitenplaats Welgelegen

Buitenplaats Welgelegen is a beautiful neo-classical villa with a rich history linked to Rotterdam's seafaring and trade. Built in 1736 by Rudolph Baelde, secretary of the Maritime Court.

It was later acquired by successful shipbroker Philippus van Ommeren and then by banker and distiller Jacobus van Hoboken. The villa saw ownership changes and was even used as a war once during World War II.

The property was acquired by Mr. Perridon, a seasoned real estate investor and developer, in 2018, who invested in the major restoration to bring the villa back to its former glory. The villa is now a beautiful meeting location for any occasion. You can hire the space for events, and even have lunch or dinner prepared by a star chef and finish of with drinks in our atmospheric bar. Buitenplaats Welgelegen offers a variety of packages to suit your needs.
